Yep we all got that figured out. GA will be tough but we can do it. I want us to take out KY. and so the NCAA can see how good we really are. RTR!

I still believe Bama is in based on winning the West. Being in a major conference still counts for something.

Why all the bracketology love for UTk? They are a given for the big show and we are stuck in what is essentially a play-in game with UGA.

It should count for something, but there's not too much love for the SEC after what happens during the football season. Pay back can be a terrible thing.

I heard one of the guys on ESPN talking last night about how he thought Villanova, even though they lost 10 of their last 16 games, should be in the dance due to a few big games they won early. We are being criticized for losing to a few below average teams early, but streaked late with some quality wins. You put the hot teams in the dance, not the faders. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Question for the more knowledgeable: Does St. Peter's winning their tourney and getting into the Dance help us at all?

No. They are still considered a bad loss. It is all about RPI like it or not.

Does UAB losing today help or hurt us?

I think it hurts. UAB has a high RPI and may still get in. The C-USA bid will take one of the bubble bids.

UAB had a RPI of 30 before the loss today. That is pretty high.

The UGA win may have locked up abid for the Tide. But I personally do not see why there would be any discussion.
The St. Peters loss is not quite so embarrassing with them winning their conference championship (MAAC). I hope CAG has a big bonus built into his contract for winning a NCAA tourney bid. It may make up, somewhat, for the money he lost by not being named SEC "Coach of the Year".

RPI seems to infulence the bracket pickers. I think we pass the eye test. 12-4 SEC is a strong finish. We got a good win today. I think we are dancing. A win verse KY tomorrow and we are 8-9 seed.

Our most recent RPI according to Warron Nolan is 76. There is 68 spots. Some people get hung up on RPI. Look at who is above us and I think you can find 10-15 that we should be in front of.

Because we played too many lousy teams and some of them beat us. It's better to play a good team and lose than to play a lousy team and win. For example, we played and lost to: Seton Hall RPI 103,
Providence 153, Iowa 180, & St. Peters. Then we played and beat mighty: Lipscomb RPI 131, Troy 265, South Alabama 274, and others.

Halftime of Florida/UT game showed us as one of the last four in.

Ouuuu,,weeeeeeeee, it looks like our schedule has to get better. RTR!

Bingo!! We need to play an out-of-conference schedule with teams like:

Kansas State
UCLA
Georgetown
Xavier
Michigan State

None of these teams are world beaters this year, but teams like this we could play and raise our RPI by at least 25-35 points, easy. Plus, we coud bet at least 2 of them, especially with Coach Grant.

CAG gets some forgivness for the non-confrence schedule this year due to player personnel. I think he felt this team needed a little cush early on to try and develop some kind of player rotation due to Knox and Jemison leaving the team. I can promise you the schedule will be much improved starting next year.

I feel that the weak early schedule hurt but I think the fact that the SEC had an off year with not many teams being ranked. This hurts when you don't get much credit for winning your conference games.

This is nonsense.  We beat Georgia; we're in.  These guys are pulling chains.

Latest from him at about 5:30 was the absolute LAST team in, then later tonight during the ESPN broadcast he's moved us up ahead of a few teams but said we're definitely in & has UGA out & Digger was like "BOTH ARE IN" LoL

I LOVE Digger's outright blatant SEC homerism the last week or so, he sees right through the crap teams like the atrocious 36-33 game in the B10 semi today with Penn St & Wisconsin & SDSU & he SEES how tough winning games in the SEC is & KNOWS how tough all the teams are. I LOVE IT!!!!

This is why I want the win so bad. I want that 8 or 9 seed. We will play some one more in our line of ability. RTR!

I agree, this is exactly what happened and it almost bit him in te rear. I don't think he was expecting Releford to have the year he hs had.

College Gameday is on now.  They showed our team arriving at the dome and Rece read Hines quote about winning it all.


Lunardi has us first 4 out again.
