Title: Alabama-Tennessee Football Rivalry
Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 01, 2015, 04:31:20 PM
What made their AD bring this subject up?

Quote
Tennessee athletic director Dave Hart doesn't want to lose the Volunteers' permanent rival Alabama even if the rivalry hasn't gone in his school's favor the last decade.

He prolly thinks they'll be good enough to give us a run next year.

There has been discussions about eliminating the permanent cross divisional rivals like Bama & UT. Each team would have two rotating cross division games. An example is we rarely play UGA.

I would rather keep the cross division rival and add a 9th SEC game. That is not popular because of how difficult the schedule would be and the uneven home vs road games. I hate playing teams we pay to beat up.
