Title: * BIGGEST SURPRISE of the SECCG? *
Post by: Chechem on December 06, 2015, 07:32:02 AM
I doubt anybody (ANYBODY) would have guessed that Alabama's first play from scrimmage would be (technically) a pass to Drake for 9 yards!

 :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Your turn...

That UF scored 15 on us. Granted, it was ST and garbage time TDs, but I never would have thought that they would get 15 on us in any fashion.

That Herny didn't break 200 yards.

That Tony Brown was still on the team at the end of the game.

That we only led 12-7 at halftime.

Drake on the first play was a surprise. Me and Vern thought it was A Stewart at first.

I'm thinking we might get a chance to see how big of a man Tony Brown is after the official butt chewing on national television yesterday that CNS gave him. There's been something going on in Brown's head for quite some time after coming to Bama as a destined star to be and getting playing time then falling almost out of the team picture for long period of time. I know this is a bold statement but these high school superstars seem to get the "Transferitis" when things don't go their way as they had it in their high school days. I'm hoping he's a bigger man than I'm thinking he is. :dunno:

I was surprised to see Florida complete some long passes and score 15 points.

Also, seeing Drake on the field.  That is awesome, as he should be 100% for the playoffs, and Bama will need him.

He showed improvement after his last butt-chewing. Maybe after this one, he'll become that superstar that he thinks he is.

I think he takes C Jones place as a starter next year. Fitzpatrick could move to the corner and Brown to the slot receiver but I think he will be a starter. If Brown is on the bench the guy ahead of him must be pretty good. Brown did great when Fitzpatrick was hurt.

Remember, DRAKE was in the doghouse as a freshman.  He grew up to be a leader.  Hopefully Tony will grow up before next season.  We need him, and HE NEEDS US!

He had him in at receiver for one play too.  :lol2:  Either that or he thought he played corner for UF.
