I'm so tired hearing about Clemson playing the underdog card. 

Sure they're they underdog, because They should be the underdog.

I'm not sure how much benefit that gives a team.  If you need extra motivation to play in the Championship Game, then you shouldn't be playing in it.

One drawback is that when an underdog gets down, gets behind, after being told all week they're the underdog, maybe self-doubt creeps in, maybe that's the wrong psychological approach.  Certainly, you don't see Saban doing that.

(Not that any of this is necessarily Clemson's fault, the press just loves it a dead horse.)

Interesting stat I read: Clemson outscored their opponents 99-90 in the fourth quarter this year.  Bama outscored our opponents 114-64 in the fourth quarter this year.

Have to get some pass protection in the second half or just run the da#@ ball!

I believe we make the necessary defensive adjustments to rush Watson & Coker gets it together. Plus, Henry keeps rolling. I agree, Watson looks somewhat worn down/hurt due to his running. If he can't run, Clemson is a dead duck.

Before the Oklahoma game, Clemson was outscored by its opponents in the fourth quarter.

Urban Meyer just said 'Clemson's only offense is Watson.  The other ball carriers have 9 carries for 12 yards'.  He said Clemson is in trouble if they can't get Watson help.

Looks to me like Clemson believes they can win, and are playing fast.  They're gambling on the plays, and have been burned a couple of times.  We should find some OPEN receivers during the second half, and King Henry should get his yards.  We should be able to score 21 more; them, maybe 10.

I trust Saban to make the needed adjustments during the half. The O just needs a steady diet of King Henry. The more we hit Watson, the more he'll fall apart.

Half of Clemson's defense is hurting.  Watson looks a little banged up and may be in trouble if he keeps taking so many hits.  I think the offense wears them down and we win a close one.

You have to give Dabo credit, he put together a very good team.  The equal to Bama in many respects.

But he was out-coached by the Master, that onsides kick.  Saban made the bold call that changed the game.

Before the game, the "experts" were saying that Bama had the advantage on special teams.  That turned out to be the difference.   :clap:

Man I need till next August to rest up after this. I want THANK everybody on this board for keeping me up dated. I don't what the thing is about me watching a game on TV but when I quick and only listen to guys on here we seem to win. I have not picked an Alabama game since OM. I will say one thing whether you care or not I sure prayed a lot about our team and games, rofl, and especially tonight. God is Good! RTR!

That was a game for the ages, indeed! I had my whole family home to watch the game. That is always good luck, and it was tonight. OJ Howard had the game of his life, and Saban did indeed outcoach Dabo.

Having said that, kudos to Clemson for never giving up and taking us to task. They are an outstanding team. Their D line was superb. They have nothing to be ashamed of.

We never gave up either. I want to give props to Jake Coker and The Drake. It was the perfect storm offensively and I'm very proud of this team! The offense carried the day!

I guess everybody has signed off.  I just got home.  Was up in Gainesville (FL) watching the game with a group of alums up there.

Heck of a win over a really good Clemson team.  It is always sweeter when you beat a good team for an NC.
