Jalen Hurts, a QB recruit, practiced with the team shortly after enrolling (starting January 4th), playing the role of Clemson's QB for the scout team.

Some of the biggest names are not yet on campus, but at least the big lineman (Jonah Williams) is aboard!

Update yesterday on recruits for the offense.  There are the targets out there yet:

Quote
A.J. Brown (WR, Starkville, Miss.)

The four-star Brown visited Tuscaloosa last weekend and had a great visit. He visits California this weekend. Can Alabama get him away from Mississippi State or Ole Miss? It has to like its chances.

Ahmmon Richards (WR, West Palm Beach, Fla.)

The four-star, 6-foot-2 Richards has Alabama in his final four with Auburn, Miami and Tennessee. He has already visited Auburn and visits Alabama this weekend and Tennessee on Jan. 29.

Keith Gavin (WR, Crawfordville, Fla.)

Another physical receiver, the 6-foot-2 Gavin couldn't play in the Under Armour All-America game because of a shoulder injury. Gavin hasn't been reached for comment since his Alabama official visit, and he visits his other finalist Florida State this weekend...

Hey Bill, I am starting to wonder if Barnett might get challenged by Hurt? RTR!

Hopefully he will be challenged by Hurt.  I'm just counting on Kiffen's development of Barnett, and knowing that he is Kiffen's boy.

I think Hurt will challenge Barnett but not beat him.  I think Barnett's biggest challenger will be Bateman for the starting spot...

The war between the QB's during spring and then the spring game might be really fun to watch. Yeppers. Of course next fall watching who wins the job for that first game might really be some fun to watch. A young QB coming along for 3 to 4 years of playing time for CLK could really be some fun football. RTR!
