The game marks the 15th meeting between the historically powerful football factories. It will be the Crimson Tide's first trip to State College, Penn., since 1989, and just its sixth visit all-time. Dad was planning to pay for the trip, but his work situation wasn't going to allow him to get away right now.
It especially sucks since I had tickets for the game last year, but I ended up having to go to El Paso for work on Monday and got back late Friday night. Then I had to leave for Germany at 11am on Sunday. The 2.5hr trip to Tuscaloosa, game, and 2.5hr trip back just wasn't worth it on Saturday. I hate that we don't play them more often. Its always a good game with some truly class act fans and a great program.
