Title: Alabama Grad Suffers Heart Attack on PGA Tour Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 27, 2016, 07:16:48 AM WTH, he's 42 years old.
Quote PGA Tour officials say Jason Bohn suffered a mild heart attack after the second round Friday at the Honda Classic. The tour says Bohn complained of chest pains after shooting a 2-over 72 and went to see medical staff at PGA National. He was taken by ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, where tests revealed a mild heart attack. Bohn was staying in the hospital overnight until more tests Saturday. He was in stable condition. Quote The 42-year-old Bohn is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour. He is among the more popular players and often partners with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. http://espn.go.com/golf/story/_/id/14855093/jason-bohn-suffers-mild-heart-attack-honda-classic AND THIS Quote In the week after learning he was paired with Condoleezza Rice in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Jason Bohn compiled questions and contemplated how to greet someone who had served as national security adviser and secretary of state. When he finally met Rice on Thursday morning, less than a half-hour before their tee time, her first words to him, he said, were, “Roll Tide.” http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/08/sports/golf/condoleezza-rice-takes-diplomacy-and-swing-to-pebble-beach-national-pro-am.html Title: Re: Alabama Grad Suffers Heart Attack on PGA Tour Post by: 2Stater on February 27, 2016, 07:21:27 AM Oh man! For those that are not familiar with Bohn (pronounced Bone) he has an interesting story. His sophomore year at Alabama he was playing in an amateur charity event fund raiser in Tuscaloosa and made a hole-in-one worth $1 Million dollars. He accepted the money costing him his amateur status. He immediately turned pro and has had a solid career winning 2 PGA events. I always thought he had the ability to win more. Still, a solid career. I hope his health will be ok. Not a bad way to make a living. It beats getting a real job. Title: Re: Alabama Grad Suffers Heart Attack on PGA Tour Post by: 2Stater on February 27, 2016, 08:48:43 AM Wow! Title: Re: Alabama Grad Suffers Heart Attack on PGA Tour Post by: 2Stater on February 27, 2016, 02:22:07 PM Just heard that Bohn's heart attack was not a mild one but a "widow maker", same one as my brother had. Apparently, they put in a stent and he is doing well.

Apparently, they put in a stent and he is doing well. Here's more info. Quote The 42-year-old golfer had a stent inserted Saturday for what he says was 99 percent blockage of a major artery. In a text exchange with the network, Bohn says the blockage was in his left anterior descending artery -- known as the "widow maker" because it could lead to a major heart attack. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/golf/golfer-jason-bohn-has-stent-inserted-for-major-blockage/ar-BBq4lFh?li=BBnb4R7 Title: Re: Alabama Grad Suffers Heart Attack on PGA Tour Post by: N.AL-Tider on February 28, 2016, 07:52:00 AM Wow!
