Title: Tide LB Trey Depriest named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week Post by: pmull on September 05, 2011, 09:39:40 AM Alabama freshman inside linebacker Trey Depriest made a team-high 10 tackles Saturday in his college football debut.
For his efforts, the former Springfield (Ohio) High School star has been named a Co-Freshman of the Week by the Southeastern Conference. Depriest had three solo tackles and seven assists in a 48-7 victory over Kent State. One of his assists was on a tackle for a 9-yard loss.
