Title: Bama Softball Post by: Leewillie on March 11, 2011, 03:11:00 PM Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but # 2 ranked Alabama softball team host the Easton SEC/ACC challenge tournament this weekend and will include North Carolina, Florida State and Mississippi State. Bama starts off with No. Car. at 6:00 tonight.

Title: Re: Bama Softball Post by: Jamos on March 12, 2011, 07:04:38 PM The softball team won two more games today, beating Fla St 8-0 and North Carolina 10-1. Both games were stopped in the 5th inning due to the mercy rule. Whitney Larsen had a big day hitting a home run in both games, she had a grand slam against Fla St. This runs Bama's record to 23-1.
Kelsi Dunne won the first game, pitching a one hitter and Jackie Traina pitched a two hitter in the second game. Traina had a no-hitter going into the 5th inning but gave up a two out two strike hit that ruined it for her. After the 1st hit, NC got another hit that drove in their lone run. Bama will play Fla St tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 pm to wrap up the Easton SEC vs ACC tournament.
