Title: Baseball Friday loses to No. 21 Houston 3-1, then 3-2 Saturday; WINS 7-6 Sun. Post by: pmull on March 12, 2016, 07:17:37 AM Alabama managed to stay in the game until the 9th innings when Houston scored 2 runs to take a 3-1 lead. Houston only had 1 more hit than Bama but they had runners in scoring position all game but Bama kept getting out of self inflected jambs. Bama pitching walked 6 and hit 1 batter. We also made 1 error. Houston left 12 runners on base to our 3.

They are very good as they are most years. The difference in the game was Bama had 3 errors allowing one unearned run. That run turned out to be the game winner. We have lost 4 games. Two of the losses were by 1 run and one was by 2 runs. Those 3 games were against ranked teams. Do not give up on the team because of one series. We have a lot of young guys in the line up who will get better as the year progresses. We are solid on the mound.
