Title: Hugh Freeze echoes Nick Saban spring game idea, and you'll like it, too
Post by: Jamos on April 11, 2016, 06:17:07 PM
Hugh Freeze doesn't have a spring game at Ole Miss, but it isn't because he isn't in favor of them.

In fact, he wants to expand them for both competitive spirit and for fans.

The Rebels coach has a "$5 plan" he thinks would spark interest, cover costs and help out a charity of choice.

Talk about a hard ticket to get, that would be one.

At $5 per ticket, you bet.

I would rather pay $5 to watch the A-Day game as it is now with the money going to a charity.  If there was an actual game against another school then one would think that at worst, every other year Bama would not be playing in Tuscaloosa so the fans wouldn't get to go watch...

Make it a jamboree format, where each team plays one quarter against another.
Each weekend they can play at a different school.

This sounds like what we use to do in high school. It was of course at one school a different one each year with us playing 2 different schools during the night. RTR!

No, I think that would cost so much in travel expenses that there would be nothing left for the charities...

Let's win 3 in a row.  That's pushing the envelope.  Spring is for preparing your men to accomplish that goal, not entertaining the masses.  We don't need the distractions that would be brought about by this.  JMHO.

At least we got you back on the forum.
We tried baiting you with legs, buns, boobs, and insults.  You only responded to A-Day.  You be there??

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year.  I am overwhelmed with "projects" right now.

Good to see you back on here. We'll send reports in case you're too busy to catch it on TV.
