Quote TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Penn State wants to show Crimson Tide fans the same hospitality they received in 2010 when Nittany Lion faithful hit campus in Tuscaloosa for a football game. Steve Sampsell, director of college relations for PSU's communications department, wrote a letter printed in today's Crimson White extending an early welcome to Alabama students who plan to travel to Happy Valley for Saturday's game at 2:30 p.m. The letter also said that the Creamery on Penn State's campus will sell yellowhammers, popularized at Gallette's bar in Tuscaloosa, as part of an effort to raise money for tornado relief. I have always enjoyed the Penn State rivalry. It is a friendly rivalry with mutual respect for the sucess each program has achieved. I think they show show a lot of class and I think they feel the same way about us. First they honored Coach Bryant hen he won his 314th game (tying Amos Alonzo Stagg) in Happy Valley, and now this kind gesture. Good folks!
