Title: Kudos to CAG and the basketball team Post by: Jamos on March 12, 2011, 07:23:58 AM What a wonderful story for all of us Bama fans to add to our memoirs of Bama sports. In just two years, Coach Grant has taken a program that was at the very bottom of the SEC and put it back where it once was, at the top. It's amazing how the players conditioned themselves to Coach Grants demands and are now in a position to reach the ultimate goal of NCAA basketball, going to the "BIG Dance". This is a story that I will never forget and I'm sure you won't either. Roll Tide!!
Title: Re: Kudos to CAG and the basketball team Post by: pmull on March 12, 2011, 07:33:55 AM CAG has done a wonderful job. He is doing it with defense, teamwork and pounding the ball inside. This is the best team I have ever seen that cannot shoot the ball. We have shooters coming in next year.
Sitting Green down for a few games early seemed to get the teams attention. I have always liked basketball but it is a lot more fun when you win in March. I was expecting baby steps, but this season has been a giant leap forward. This season's success will help CAG in his recruiting efforts, which will lead to increased return on investment. RTR

CAG and the guys put together an amazing run, and even though they and all of us are disappointed it didn't end up with a spot in the Dance, the guys have a tremendous opportunity to do some damage in what I think is a winnable tournament for this team. A lot of teams are not playing right now, and the Tide is. Kudos to the whole team. ROLL TIDE!!!
