Well today begins my 52 years I guess of keeping up with Alabama football. I remember the first time I caught a game on TV was in 1964 I believe and Chris Econamaki was calling the game I believe for ABC Wide World of Sports. RTR!

I did the same thing about 4 am . Got up and walked outside and checked out the night sky. Then at daylight got to see a great sunrise. Great day so far. Just took the kebabs and ribeyes off the grill and put on the sockeye salmon for a few minutes and I am done for the day! ROLL TIDE!

The main thing that I was disappointed about last night was that the play-by-play guys kept rambling on and on about anything and everything instead of discussing who did what.  As much as I hate to admit it, Gerne and Vary actually do let it be known what player makes the tackles.  Even if they can't pronounce their names correctly... >:(

That's the scary thing about game 1. Bama won 52-6 without looking like a great team.

Scary how good this team could be.
Scary how inconsistency could keep such a great team from reaching their potential.

Bo did not have a lot of room to run on most of the plays he was in on.  He is definitely a pile mover when he gets his legs churning though!  He will play an important role.

Bo must not know the blocking schemes in pass protection. He was only in the game on running plays. Harris is the more complete back at this point.

I went to see if they had those "Roll Tears Roll" shirts on clearance at the USC bookstore, but apparently they are already sold out.

They all went to a 3rd world country.

Back after a great weekend in Dallas.

Got some trash talk early from a few USC fans, mostly about the SEC losing, but they were mum by halftime.  The main guy doing the trash talking left sometime in the third quarter.  I found his cell phone under his seat and gave it to security.  I was sorely tempted to keep it for a while to get his phone number so I could text him updates about the game.

Parking was a nightmare.  There was a Texas Rangers game on the same day, and the streets were closed in front of Ranger Stadium.
