Title: Who's in Charge at Baylor?
Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 05, 2016, 02:05:11 PM
This is unbelievable. The players are dictating things now plus out-of-control assistants? WTH.

Baylor Bears wide receiver Chris Platt said on Twitter Friday that the team will wear black uniforms for Saturday's game against TCU in protest of the firing of former head coach Art Briles, according to ESPN.

Your wrong Chechem. He has to be let in and be in charge before he can lose control. RTR!

I hope Grobe gets out of there after this year.  He's a decent guy in an impossible situation.

I think the assistants are all history after the season and that's why they are acting out. They probably think Briles will land a major coaching job and he will hire them. I think they are in for a HUGE surprise. I think Grobe may stay just to provide some stability, plus who else can they hire?

Grobe is a very good person. I agree with MD who can they get. CLK sure won't go there so I think they need a very good cleansing Coach Grobe is the one to do it. Coach Grobe needs to bring Coach June Jones in there and have him help I think. lol, RTR!

The coach should have stood up and said that they would not be wearing those uniforms and if you didn't like it get out.  There are rumors of some of the assistant coaches helping cover up some of these assaults.

You know hscoach, this is a mess that I am afraid will wind up getting the death penalty. I hate to say it but deservedly so, no way can this be a Baptist teaching school and allow this type of behavior. RTR!

Other people out here in Texas have said they wouldn't be surprised if they get the death penalty.

I don't know, but with all the new information that has come out the last few days I can't see him getting another job anywhere.

I thought Baylor was under a Title IX investigation. Is the NCAA investigating, too?

The federal government announced Wednesday that it was formally investigating whether Baylor University had violated Title IX in its handling of sexual assault on campus, the latest development in a scandal that included several accusations and convictions of sex crimes levied against Baylor football players and a damning university-commissioned report.

Baylor is a dumpster fire so it will be interesting to see what else happens there. Plus, I think Briles truly believes he will be a head coach in 2017.
