Man I hate this. He really tore up that knee in a bad way. Plus, A&M QB was injured which means their game will be a showdown of new QB's. Ole Miss still has to play A&M, Vandy, & Misses State. They could easily lose all 3 of those games. Talk about a season that has landed in the toilet.

It didn't look like a bad hit when his knee was injured; not a twisted knee, and not a low hit.  I thought he likely had a concussion based on his behavior after the injury.  He walked to the dressing room and seemed able to use his knee.  See video above (1:20 mark is the injury).

This ends it for Ole Miss this year.  Kelly was the entire offense.

And it could happen to any QB.   :(

The loss to Bama broke them. They haven't been the same since our game.  They might still win two of the last three, but they'll finish far below where they expected at the start of the season. I think Hugh Freeze's seat is going to get to start getting warmer soon.

Maybe, but if so it'll be because of the NCAA investigation too.  Still no decision.  Ironically, Ole Miss fans were worried about losing a bowl game this year.  Now they likely lose it next year (if it even matters).  :lol2:

They started the season as a very good team. Their starters could play with anyone but they lacked depth. They have lost a lot of starters to injuries and the reserves are not ready for the SEC. Kelly has played well enough to keep them in most games. Without Kelly they will struggle with every team on their schedule and as MD said may not win another game.

This injury brings home the problem with rating teams based on strength of schedule.
Lately folks have said 'Alabama only played one team in the top 20'.
Now if Ole Miss loses to lesser teams, they'll dismiss our win over them.
A team without a starting QB is a shell of its potential.  Look at the Aubs against Vandy (1st half).
There's just no way to compare adequately games one week to the next!

How many times have we seen a highly ranked, good team lose to Bama and then fall apart in the weeks after? A&M repeatedly. LSU a few times. Ole Miss this year. Georgia a time or two. Bama beats you more than once.

Well you have to remember CNS coaches "Make Them Quit." Well when that happens they fall apart. Just exactly what is happening. Gosh. RTR!

This^^^

And it happens every year. The talking heads at the beginning of the season always point out how tough Bama's schedule is, and then start tearing them down when the teams they beat fall apart. It's pretty comical.

Ole Miss is done. Kelly was the entire team. They haven't played defense all year and he was the only thing that kept them competitive, and now he's gone. I don't see this ending well for Ole Miss and Freeze.

The Ole Miss fans will give Freeze a pass on this year and blame it on injuries and the NCAA. They really think he's the best coach in the SEC.

I'm no prophet, but I've seen this coming for two years. Freeze has no control over his team, a team full of low-character players.  They're going be 8-4 to 6-6 for at least the next couple of years.

Wait till they get witch-slapped by the NCAA. They will be begging to win 6-7 games a year.
