Oxford linebacker Kwon Alexander, a 4-star linebacker, went down with a fourth-quarter knee injury. The senior being recruited by Alabama, Auburn and practically every other top program in the region was on crutches after the game and had his right knee packed in ice.

I was at that game and the injury did not look bad to me. They helped him about half way off the field and he ran the rest of the way. He was limping. He was a beast. Austin could not handle him. Looks like a stud to me.

Hope he's okay.

This injury highlights the reason so many kids commit early now.  Schools may back off him if it requires surgery.

Oxford is loaded. They have 5 Divison 1 prospects on that team. The left tackle decommitted from the barn and is now leaning toward Tenn. A very good RB and two good receivers. The 4 star LB everybody is after. Oxford has more team speed than we could handle.

Dare I ask what the final score was?  :-\

The Oxford football program has been a beast for years. They won state championships in 1988, 1989, & 1992 or 93. The current coach of Hoover, Josh Nesbit, was head coach at Oxford. The have a stadium that would make some colleges jealous. Great town & people.

I said Saturday that the injury was not that bad. I was at the game and they helped him half way off the field and he ran the rest of the way. I was wrong. He is out for the year.

This kid is good. He played outside LB and controlled his side of the line. I could see why ESPN had him as the top OLB in the nation.

There was a Alabama commitment from Atlanta that tore up his knee 3 weeks ago. CNS is honoring that young mans commitment. The doctors who performed the kids surgery were put in touch with the Alabama doctors and trainers asking how they wanted them to rehab the young man's knee. I posted the story but I don't recall the players name.
