Title: It's Quiet In Atlanta
Post by: McBaman on December 29, 2016, 10:26:52 AM
Very quiet over in Atlanta.  I hope this is a good sign that our guys are focused.   Washington will come to play for 60 mins, and coach P has done well vs. ranked opponents.

Take nothing for granted.

I'm hearing the same thing and that the team is VERY focused. Everybody has been behaving. Atlanta is quiet because it's under a tsunami warning. ROLL TIDE!!!

I was listening to Mike & Mike on the way in this morning.  (Not something that I normally do mind you)  They were interviewing some other "talking head" media member about both Bama and Washington's teams.  The guy said that Bama's players seem to be too uptight and need to loosen up and have fun.  I say, "win it the way you want to" and if our team is all about taking care of their business then that's fine...

The calm before the storm.

The process dictates that our team handle this game as a business trip. It has been a long layoff. I do not know how we will start the game. We could be healthy with fresh legs firing on all cylinders or we could be slow and out of sync. Once the game gets started we will settle in and play our game. We are the better team. We need to put them away early and not let them hang around until the 4th quarter with a chance to win.

Totally agree and also let the youngsters get some playing time in a big game like this. Experience helps us a lot every year. RTR!

I hope our guys are ready to go from the first play.  That is not always the case.  I guess it's a mental thing.

Wash will be looking to make a statement (both to Bama and to themselves) that they are playing to win.  I would love to see an 82-yd drive like we had to start the NC game vs. ND.

It is not looking good for the SEC again. Georgia is losing to TCU 16-14 at the halftime. RTR!

That doesn't bother me.  I'm proud that Miss St. won their game but if none of the other SEC teams but Bama wins then I'm ok with that.  All of the other SEC team's fans wants Bama to lose so I don't care if they lose either...

Well shoot Georgia just scored because Kirby called a fake FG. They lead TCU 21-16 now. RTR!
