Title: Tide's defense, Razorbacks' offense ranked among best in the nation Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on September 18, 2011, 02:08:20 PM http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/09/tides_defense_razorbacks_offen.html
Quote TUSCALOOSA - Get ready for hyperbole. When Alabama plays host to Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. CDT Saturday (CBS), as expected, a great defense will be challenged by a very good offense. Through three games this season, Alabama is ranked No. 2 in the nation in scoring defense (6 ppg). Arkansas is ranked No. 8 in scoring (47 ppg). The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 3 in total defense (170 yards per game). The Razorbacks are ranked No. 11 in total offense (517.33). Alabama is ranked No. 5 in passing defense (114.67 yards per game) and No. 2 in passing efficiency defense. Arkansas is ranked No. 8 in passing offense (346.67 yards per game). Our offense and their defense seems almost even but there is room for improvement for us, for them i don't know. OH, chilling thought, could the kicking game be the answer to this game? If so I am going to say our Kicking Game is better than theirs.
I think we win with good O-line play and Hard-nosed defense. We are going to find out, what we know, the SEC is going to be a lot harder than the cupcakes. Time to buckle up, and get filled with Red Bull. RTR! They have not had a road game yet, and they have a first year QB too. These early season stats are meaningless for both sides, but at least we played Penn State on the road.

I think we just played PSU in name only though. We about to witness one of bama's best defensive games (think MichSt type). :popcorn2: :popcorn2: Title: Re: Tide's defense, Razorbacks' offense ranked among best in the nation Post by: Old Tider on September 18, 2011, 05:15:36 PM The great thing is, like Coach Bryant said, a good defense will beat a good offense.
