BUT, he can't take the ACT again until after the signing date. So we'll sign him and HOPE he suddenly attains the intelligence to score above "trainable" on the test. Looks like he's heading to Junior College... :eyeroll: Title: Re: "Nick Saban visits Akial Byers as Alabama DL commit works to attain eligibility" Post by: 2Stater on January 24, 2017, 06:10:17 AM Quote Last month in Orlando, Byers said he needed to raise his ACT score to qualify academically... HS guys have to work hard OFF the field too. They know what's required to "make the grade" with their academics. So to me it's some kind of character issue that they neglect the academic requirements.
HS Coach -- What say you? It's just wrong, frustrating, and embarrassing. If he qualifies, okay. If not, let some other school explain his presence. >:( Title: Re: "Nick Saban visits Akial Byers as Alabama DL commit works to attain eligibility" Post by: ricky023 on January 25, 2017, 08:00:20 AM Football or not, I am not a fan of having unqualified students in college. I know some of the slow learners are great players but when they can't make the SAT or ACT then it is time to send them somewhere to learn not at the THE University of Alabama. What happens when he shows up on the news and can't spell and can't talk it looks really bad on our future academics. Sorry, if he makes it on his own fine but if not sorry. RTR! |
