Title: Alabama Recruits of Interest
Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 26, 2017, 11:09:36 PM
I noticed that we have 3 OL commits who are rated 5* and 1 who is a 4*. However, on the D-
line we have 1 5* commit and a 3*. We have 8 D-linemen left after grad/early leaving DL. Five to six of them look solid to me. Hoping for another 4 or 5 star DL guy.

Still quite a few D-linemen on the recruiting board. I imagine Saban will pull in at least a couple of them.

We have a lot of hay in the barn already, but what is everybody's feeling on the remaining question marks?

I don't pay real close attention until NSD itself so I shouldn't opine much, but I don't get a sense of momentum going in.

I don't really pay attention other than what pops up here and on Twitter. I do know that Saban usually finishes strong, has the country talking about Bama's class at the end of day. I don't expect this year to be any different.  We've already got more five-stars on campus than 95% of schools will get in their class though, so I'm not worried about a thing.

I think we have more five-stars in this class than most schools have on campus... These are good times... 8)

In high school many offensive linemen also play defensive line.  I wonder if there is a chance any could flip to the defensive line?

Good point.  I'm sure it has happened before.  Certainly WRs have been converted to DBs.

Saban recruits athletes and then develops them based on his evaluation of where they are best suited.  I don't pay much attention to stars, neither Mark Ingram nor Chance Warmack were 5 star recruits going into college, but they were coming out of college.

Put your prayers behind SOLOMON.  If we sign him, this is all moot.

That would pretty much sew up another #1 recruiting class if we reel him in.
