Coach Goff can only play the players he was left with so we will have to use our patience a little until he can do some recruiting. I will say, he is the most active coach that I have seen at Bama during the game. You can here him constantly talking to the players that are batting or on base and sometimes discussing an umpire's decision and I like that. I think there are better days ahead.

Mama softball had a very good recruiting year last year and I think the incoming freshmen will play a major role in this year's team. Littlejohn pitched a jewel of a game yesterday on he Senior Day with Osorio pitching just a well. The two of them look very solid this year but Maddi Moore still struggles some as she can't seem to get the good spin on her pitches. Her velocity is as good as Osorio and Littlejohn but she has no movement on her pitches which makes hitting them easier. I think the team his better defensively this year with the freshmen been the difference. We may have the best infield that I have seen there in a very long time.

Anyway, I think this team has a very good chance to go a long way this year but they can't have too many weekends like they did in Louisiana recently but we have to remember, that Louisiana team they lost to is a very good team especially when they are playing at home.

Elissa Brown was one of my students as a principal. As good as an athlete as she is, she is even a better person - comes from a great family. Very happy for her.

We need to beat Oral Roberts today to avoid a sweep on our home field.

For of you thinking Oral Roberts??? They are a good team. They hit the ball hard, play defense, make very few errors and are well coached. They have made the NCAA Tournament every year but 2 since the late 90's. They win their conference most years. I looked at last years schedule. They went 1-2 @ Auburn, 1-1 with Oklahoma, 2-0 with Oklahoma State, 1-0 at both Kansas and Kansas State. They played in the TCU regional.
