Ole Miss 18 Tide 14  7:30 left in half.

Tide not sharp at all. Crowd somewhat somnolent.

Tide pretty much eschewing the 3 pointer for drives to the basket. 27-24 Tide.

Very good win. Ingram and Key both played extremely well. We keep the pressure on Ole Miss and did not allow them to make a second half run.

That puts us 10-8 in SEC play. I think we will be either the 5 or 6 seed depending on Saturday games. We are currently in 5th 1 game ahead of UGA, Ole Miss & Vandy. We hold the tie breaker over Ole Miss and Vandy since we beat them.

Actually, we are 10-7 with a road game left against UT on Saturday. Nothing would please me more than to go Knoxvegas and whip the puke orange to end up 11-7, and have some momentum going into the SEC tourney.

I think the announcers said we are the #5 seed after beating Ole Miss.

We will be the # 5 seed. We are a game ahead of UGA, Ole Miss & Vandy. We hold the tie breaker over all three. We are a game behind Arkansas. They have the tie breaker on us. We get a Wednesday bye when the bottom 4 teams play. We will play Thursday at 2:00. The top 4 teams get a bye until Friday.

We still need to beat UT and go into the SEC Tournament with momentum. We have a real chance to win two games there and be sitting 20-13.

If we win over UT and go 20-13 that should be enough to get us in the big dance I would think. We would be a very low seed of course. RTR!

About 25th seed in the Far East Region.

After the losses to Georgia and A&M, the only hope for the NCAA tournament is winning the SEC, and that's about as likely an Auburn fan resisting a chained up goat.

The team blew a 16 point second half lead against UT yesterday.

I am not delusional enough to think we can put four good games together and win the SEC Tournament but I like our path in the bracket.

We open at 2:00 on Thursday against the winner of Miss St/LSU. Win and we play USCe on Friday. We match up well with them and they have struggled down the stretch as bad as we have. Win and we play UK most likely (UK will play UGA/UT winner on Friday). It would be a shock if we win but I would rather play them than UF or Arkansas. Sunday most likely UF or Arkansas.

Win two and make it till Saturday and I will be satisfied. That should secure us a NIT bid and maybe first round home game.

I watched that game and it made me sick.  We were cruising to a blow out win and then we ended up losing the game.
