He is going home. I hope he has learned from his past mistakes.

Don't bet on it. He can't coach, recruit, or inspire the fans or players & comes across like a dead fish. Otherwise, he's a great coach.

Well if he does as good at Dayton with his first players he will be great because somebody else left players. When he is done really I think he will be there till they get tired of losing. Look at how much he has traveled since we fired him. RTR!

Bingo!  He might have 2 good years due to Archie Miller's recruiting.

I do not understand the hate for former coaches like Shula and Grant. Franchione I understand. I never doubted CAG did the best he could and gave it his all. His players loved him. He never embarrassed the university, ran a clean program and his players stayed out of trouble. He did not get the job done. I do not hate him for that. I am glad we replaced him.

I wish him well at Dayton and I expect him to do well.

Hey pmull as you know I can't hate him as it is not in my life to do that. I do however question all of his ability to coach Basketball as he seemed to miss out on chances to improve that you know, we on the sides could see but he seemed to miss. I personally wish him well but until I can see him take his program and recruit and get in the big time tourneys with other teams I will still say he doesn't have much a chance at being a BB coach. I hope I didn't mislead, anybody. RTR!

Agreed.

He seemed a fish out of water at Bama, like Coach Strong at Texas.  Perhaps CAG will have better luck coaching and recruiting for his alma mater.

Amazing how the word hate has replaced words like dislikes or being critical. Everything I said about him is accurate, how is that hate? Now you're a "hater" if you think a coach should be fired. He drove our program into the dirt, are we supposed to like that? The man can't coach. Save the word hate for someone who has done something horrible to you or your family or innocents, like murder, terrorists, rapists, child molesters (Sandusky), and others who truly deserve hatred.
