Title: The Alabama Players Generating the Most Buzz This Spring
Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 11, 2017, 05:41:49 PM
Good stuff. Read link.

ROBERT FOSTER

Quote
There's a lot of internal optimism that Foster is going to finally have his long-awaited breakthrough year after catching just five passes last season as a redshirt junior.
The former five-star recruit has had a positive spring and had three catches on Saturday, including a long touchdown.
“Certainly a guy who would be a real plus for us because of the speed that he has, the vertical ability that he gives us on the outside,” Saban said earlier this spring. “I think he's playing better than he did a year ago and hopefully he will continue to improve and have a role on the team. I think we need for him to do that.”

ISAIAH BUGGS

Quote
The four-star junior college transfer has quickly established himself as one of Alabama’s top defensive lineman and is expected to be a valuable contributor this fall.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Buggs has been disruptive throughout the spring, showing quickness and the ability to get into the backfield.
“He looks good,” left tackle Jonah Williams said. “He's doing a good job. You can tell he's a hard worker and he's learning the defense."

It all sounds good. This team is loaded with talent, hopefully they stay healthy, stay out of trouble, and stay driven.

Honestly, I really don't get worked up over Spring practice and the A Day game. Too many times have players who were raved about after spring practice turned around and did nothing during the season. My biggest concern is that players stay healthy, especially guys like Scarbrough, Jacobs, Hurts, Foster, Shaun Hamilton, Jonah Williams, Fitzpatrick, and other key players. Hamilton probably isn't ready, so he may not do much till August.

I like the idea of Diggs at CB. At least he might try to intercept a few of the passes. But we all know there is no telling if he stays there in the fall.

Also guys what about Tony Brown? Is going to be a good cover guy and possibly an interceptor of somewhat? RTR!

I found that an interesting experiment. I wonder if he played both ways in high school?

I think Saban said he played DB in High School and they tried him at Safety last spring but he is more natural at DB.
