Title: Aaron Hernandez commits suicide

Quote
One of the strangest, saddest sagas in NFL history came to an end on Wednesday morning, as the Massachusetts Department of Corrections says Aaron Hernandez killed himself in his prison cell.

The news comes just days after Hernandez was acquitted of a double murder. Hernandez was still serving a life sentence after being found guilty in the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez was 27.

Took the cowards way out.

So sad that he had all that talent and threw it away... Even more sad for his 4 y/o daughter that has to go on through life without a daddy...

What a bizarre story and saga by this very disturbed individual. He came from a good and prosperous family, not a poor, single mother situation. Just does not make sense.

From what I've read over on a Gator message board, Aaron pretty much lost it when his dad died.  After that he just couldn't seem to cope with life as he should have.  I don't know how old he was when his dad died though...

He was 16, but there are still no excuses for cold-blooded murder. Finebaum's father died when he was 14.

I wasn't trying to make excuses for what AH did.  Just pointing out a possible explanation as to how he got to that point in life.  Also, people handle losses like that differently.  And, without the needed help/guidance getting through such a traumatic experience like that can cause one to go off the deep end like AH did.  That doesn't' make it right but sometimes it happens like that.

I know how it feels. My dad died when I was getting ready to go to Vietnam and it was like the whole world turned on me. If it had not been for the Lord I would not have made it I can assure you 99%. RTR!
