Title: Jalen Hurts Freshman Season Highlights
Post by: bamaphil on April 22, 2017, 08:21:39 AM
Wasting some time today and came across this. Hurts had a lot of well thrown balls last year, it was just the inconsistency that hurt him in the end. Watching highlights from early in the year versus the final four games, I'm still convinced Kiffin had already given up and that's why the offense looked so awful at the end. The offense was incredible the first 2/3 of the season.

After watching that I am intrigued by how spoiled we Bama fans really are.  I have heard so many times since the season that "Hurts isn't a good passer" or something similar.  Yes, he does tend to be more of a run first-pass second QB but looking at that video shows that he was able to make some very impressive throws last year.  I think this season he will impress even more.  Thanks for sharing that one Phil...

It's a great time to be a Bama fan.  8)

Agreed. The loss to Clemson has left a bitter taste in our mouths, so we've forgotten how dominant last year's team was on both sides of the ball most of the season. And as much as Hurts struggled passing against Clemson, when the game was on the line he made what should have been the game winning score. The kid's a winner, and I can't imagine we won't see an improvement in his passing skills this year.

That last play, the run for a TD against Clemson should have made him the best True freshman ever. but instead our D couldn't stop Clemson so he becomes a pretty good Freshman. lol

Lordy, I think we are going to have 3 grand QB's this year from what I read on the reports of A-Day. I just hope nobody leaves. All 3 are just one play away from going in the game. RTR!

Yep. If the D had held, we'd be talking about what a winner Hurts is.

Last is a mist. Next year is coming. One game at a time to get back to the big dance. I will agree with CNS though the season is to long. RTR!
