Title: Week One Games Post by: Catch Prothro on August 26, 2017, 01:56:11 PM OK, I'll do this week one, but will be out of town the entire week 2, so someone else needs to step up. It isn't hard, go to ESPN or CBS, pick up the TV games, and do a poll....
I think all times are EST. EDIT: Oops, need to edit this poll to include Sunday and Monday games which I failed to look for. So far it looks like these four games are competing for that coveted 10th spot: Maryland at Texas Temple at Notre Dame Appalachian State at Georgia Vanderbilt at Middle Tennessee With one person (probably MD) wanting to see if Kiffin can survive against Navy (a 21 point favorite) All 4 of these games have interest, for differing reasons. Last year's Temple might have given ND a run for the money, but with a new coach this year, Temple likely will lose, the questing being by how much. Last year, Maryland v. Texas would have been a game. We get to see early if any improvements have happened under Tom Herman. And then there are the two SEC games, with Middle Tennessee v. Vandy likely to be the closer of the two, although Appalachian State has a history of taking down a "big boy," albeit from the Big10. So please vote in the next day or two so SC can post the first block of games. While it sounded good initially, I think UNC cleans their clock, especially with a morning game at UNC against a west coast team suffering from (for them) an early morning wake up and jet lag.
