Post by: Marshal Dillon on September 05, 2017, 04:41:48 PM
I see some shaky teams in the Top Ten of this poll.

Quote
1. Alabama (1,524 points)

2. Ohio State (1,445)

3. Clemson (1,317)

4. Penn State (1,303)

5. Oklahoma (1,253)

6. USC (1,224)

7. Washington (1,083)

8. Michigan (1,051)

9. Wisconsin (979)

10. Florida State (976)

I am totally unsold on Penn State, Oklahoma, USC, & Michigan. If Oklahoma beats Ohio State I will believe in OU. Michigan beat an average UF team which was missing its best WR & RB. USC plays Stanford Saturday so that will be interesting.

FSU must not be a fluke because they are the only 1 loss team in the TOP 20 as I could see. RTR!

Yep. And, with the loss to Bama, stayed in the top 10. Goes to the respect the voters have for both teams.

Dropping 7 spots in a poll is about normal, unless it's Notre Dame and they drop MAYBE 3 spots and I did say maybe.

They're the best team Bama will face before the playoff unless the Auburn hype is real. Tennessee is a joke. LSU may be decent, but won't be great.

Here's 11-25 of the AP Poll.

Quote
11. Oklahoma State (950)

12. LSU (898)

13. Auburn (873)

14. Stanford (772)

15. Georgia (685)

16. Miami Fla. (537)

17. Louisville (529)

18. Virginia Tech (490)

19. Kansas State (398)

20. Washington State (216)

21. South Florida (207)

22. Florida (164)

23. TCU (154)

24. Notre Dame (141)

25. Tennessee (124)

#6 USC plays #14 Stanford &  #13 Auburn at #3 Clemson so we have some interesting games Saturday. Plus, #15 Georgia at #24 Notre Dame has some interesting things going on. UGA QB Eason injured so they are starting a freshman at South Bend. Of course, if ND wins they will jump to number 3 or 4 in the poll.

Tennessee gave up 525 yards rushing and total of 650 yards against an unranked team.  How in the heck are they in the top 25?

Wonder how many yards Harris, Scarbo, and Harris (with Hurts thrown in too) will hang on UcheaT?

FIFY.  Agreed except as to Michigan.
