Title: Missouri Football in Turmoil
Post by: Marshal Dillon on September 13, 2017, 10:37:47 PM
Missouri offense and special teams were dreadful against South Carolina, so they fired the defensive coordinator. This isn't ending good for Missouri this year.

Quote
Missouri linebacker Joey Burkett has played for two head coaches, three defensive coordinators and three position coaches during his five years with the Tigers, so excuse him if he’s not having a panic attack this week.

On Sunday, Mizzou coach Barry Odom fired defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach DeMontie Cross and decided to assume those roles for the rest of the season. Senior linebackers Burkett and Eric Beisel can only accept the change and carry on.

Was the DC verbally abusing the players?

Quote
Odom’s decision seemed especially surprising considering it was Mizzou’s special teams and offense that struggled most in Saturday’s 31-13 loss to South Carolina. Odom has since insisted Cross’ firing was not related to the defense’s on-field performance. At his weekly news conference Tuesday, Odom declined to discuss specific reasons he fired Cross but repeatedly touched on coach-player relationships.

Well I picked them to win. That is why they lost they are to dumb to understand that, then they will lose more games and it ain't the DC fault. RTR!

They looked terrible yesterday. Purdue beat them like a drum. That is enough to get a coach fired.

Why did so many "experts" and "analysts" overstate the abilities of Missouri football before the season and right up to the Purdue game? Purdue is not a good team.

They do the same thing for Tennessee and Auburn.  Neither one have lived up to the pre season hype.

Did you see the "crowd" at the Missouri game? I've seen more folks in line for concessions at BDS. Plus, karma is a b**ch. Baylor is 0-3 and safe zone Missouri is 1-2 and looking at a disaster and probably a new coach. By the way, safe zone Missouri is facing large drops in freshman enrollment, a $35 mi loss in tuition, loss of alumni donations, they have closed 7 residential dorms (lack of students), and laid off folks. Hey Missouri, how's all that tolerance, love, understanding, and appeasement working for you now? No doubt Coach Barry Odom of Missouri is toast after this dismal season.

Mizzou stinks, but this might be the best Purdue team of the Century.

Somebody called it karma but I call it God taking care of business. RTR!
