Title: No. 3 Crimson Tide is the No. 14 Razorbacks' high hurdle Post by: pmull on September 24, 2011, 05:59:26 AM Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino and his staff have made clear their intention of driving relentlessly toward a BCS national championship.
The clear and present obstacle to that goal stands in their path today. No. 3 Alabama (3-0) has been a heavyweight in the SEC West and on the national scene for the past three years, and No. 14 Arkansas (3-0) has beaten every Western Division team in Petrino's three-plus seasons except the Crimson Tide. The SEC opener for both schools kicks off at 2:30 p.m. today at sold-out Bryant-Denny Stadium (cap. 101,821) and a national television audience on CBS. Alabama, which has rolled three opponents, including Penn State on the road, by a combined score of 116-18, is an 11 1/2 point favorite. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/09/no_3_crimson_tide_is_the_no_14.html |
