Title: *U Gate Article
Post by: navychief on September 27, 2011, 04:07:31 PM
Recieved an email from a friend today...here it is

This week marks the one year anniversary that the NCAA began it's inquiry into Auburn's football program. Everyone wants to know where it stands as of today. The Investigation involves the entire athletic program with football as the emphasis. Jay Jacobs the AU AD admitted for the cameras last week that the "NCAA is checking out our entire program to see if there is an institutional control problem. We are cooperating fully with the NCAA."

Auburn President Jay Gouge commented last week, " I have no idea what the focus of the investigation is or where it stands at the moment." That is absolutely amazing to me that a school official would say something that indicates that much stupidity.

One thing is clear, as we have been saying for the past 52 weeks, Auburn is under an NCAA investigation that is probing under the hood and behind the scenes of this program. As it now enters its 12th month, where is it headed and just exactly what is the NCAA looking at ?

The Cam Newton saga :
MSU recruitment and Cecil shopping Cam to Miss State, AU and UT

The recordings of John Bond and Bill Bell. Kenny Rogers roll in this as well.

Signing with AU after requesting 180K from MSU.

Soliciting a State official

Dan Mullens wife's call from Cam and Joe Shad's covering of that story.

Urban Meyer calling Pete Thamel of the NY Times after discussions with Dan Mullen on why Cam signed with AU. It was Meyer that got the ball rolling on this entire story last November.

The rumors of payment of $48,000 to Cam in November of 2009 and MSU's failure to make the deciding payment on DEC 31,2009 prompting him to sign with AU. I have said all along I have never heard or seen evidence of any MSU wrongdoing. That does not mean that it did not happen but I feel my sources in MS are about as good as it gets and that includes people in MSU admin.

The repairs of Cecil's church in Georgia pro-bono. Details of the certificate of occupancy of the church when the contractor never did his job in order to get such occupancy. These repairs were made possible by former BOT member .

Victoryland involvement in AU players and families. SEE Larry Langford former Mayor of Birmingham
Jackpots being won by players families and players etc, per former employees at Victoryland.

Colonial Bank involvement with warehouse mortgages in the State of Forida
Tigers Unlimited

The role of a former Colonial official and her involvement in the warehouse in Florida that was providing mortgages to players and their families. That official pleaded guilty in federal court and is serving 8 years. The NCAA is finding out why.

A local rental car location from a major incident this past winter involving four AU players no longer on the team.
A. Did you ever wonder how a young man charged with armed robbery that cannot pay his rent, can make a $100,000.00 bond on an armed robbery charge? His parents definitely do not own that kind of property and a bondsman would charge between $10,000 and $15,000. Washington High and Davidson are not located in the expensive parts of town.

B. Did you ever wonder why four young men, three with no ties to Alabama, would be permitted to leave the State of Alabama while on bond? Almost all violent criminals are not permitted to leave the state. The property used to secure the bond must be in state.

HBO 4.
B.K. was the bagman in this episode as he was the one that Stanley McGlover, Troy Reddick, Chaz Ramsey and Raven Gray identified to the NCAA investigators. When interviewed by NCAA investigators, BK misled the NCAA about his involvement with the four players. He has denied paying AU players any money, although all four admitted to the NCAA and on Real Sports that they were paid thousands of dollars to perform. Gene Chizik was the defensive coordinator in 2003 & 2004 when these players played at AU.

Trooper Taylor
His direct involvement with the recruitment of Cyrus Kouandjio that involved drinking, hookers and a promise to start at AU as a true freshman. CK was basically threatened by the AU staff about the above things that happened on his visit and was told if he did not commit to Auburn all of the above things would be exposed to outside people. Alabama Compliance turned this over to the NCAA earlier this spring and this story just scratches the surface on how far AU will go when recruting a player, especially one percieved to be an Alabama lock.

His calling and actively recruiting 2 members of the Alabama team . One who transferred to AU and another currently on the Alabama squad. . A recording was made by the Alabama staff and they have it in their possession and it was turned over to the NCAA in August of 2011. Fact.

His involvement in recruiting players in Arkansas, South Florida and La. The top linebacker in Florida who went to Clemson this past Feb told the Clemson staff " AU offered a large sum of money " to attend AU. FSU, Florida and Clemson turned AU in over these recruiting practices earlier this spring prompting an NCAA investigation into AU practices in these states. This was reported as fact by the Orlando Sentinel earlier this summer.

The Bagman that the NCAA has put out through Danny Sheridan.
There are three potential men we have mentioned in chat and in other posts about the potential bag man involving Cam Newton. Danny Sheridan brought this to light at SEC Media Days in late July acting on a tip from a source within the NCAA.

One of these three men (nameless in this post) delivered the cash to the Rev Eddie Long's church in Georgia as payment for Cam Newton. This church has been under a federal probe for gun running, drugs and money laundering over the past 3 years. There is a distinct possiblity that the NCAA indeed knows the name of the individual that delivered the money for Cam Newton in the amount of $180,000 and upwards of $200,000 to secure his services as the Auburn Quarterback.

A current AU player's car stolen by an AU teamate. Gus Malzahn is putting pressure on the elder Mr X to not press full charges on the current Auburn player.
The use of Auburn Tigerette's in the recruting practices of Auburn and the involvement of coeds at Tuskegee Institute and breaking of NCAA off campus guidlines. The NCAA was in Montgomery, Al looking into this the week after July 4 2011.
Bottom line is the NCAA investigation is slow, ongoing and covers a multitude of possible infractions. We are certainly not the NCAA infractions committe nor do we have any idea what the eventual penalties would be. The facts as they stand tonight is the NCAA has a lot they are looking into and there is much to consider and finally Auburn has admitted that they are dealing with the full scrutiny that is an NCAA investigation. Coupled with the lack of Auburn defense on and off the field, this promises to be a football season at Auburn that could indeed live in infamy.

Amazing how Lyles name continues to appear in a negative manner. How many programs will this guy get on probation? Also, if just half this stuff about Ahbarn is true, they will get buried by the NCAA. I still wonder if those FBI tapes of McGregor and his pals had anything on them.

I truly hope the ncaa pukes bring down Holy H*ll on the booger-eaters..and if they will not use the death penalty, then take away 20 scholarships each year for the next 5 years,, no TV games for 5 years, No Bowl games for 5 years, no recruits allowed on campus before they sign, encourage the IRS to investigate Scam and his daddy, Coaching staff fined/penalized 50% of their salaries for the next 2 years, require a complete change of personnel on the B of T, ban Pat Dye from anything to do with the school, fire the entire football staff right down to the trainers and student aides, and if Cheesedip quits, prevent him from any job in CFB for a period of 5 years, disband the cheerleading squad, limit the band to a flute section ony, lower the tickets prices to 2.00 per, but limit the seating to 3,000, make them wear the ugliest uniforms Underarmor can come up with, and make them play two hand touch for the games with the colleges that have no more self respect than to schedule a game with them, (the other team still gets to tackle), declare the "trees" as a disaster area and bulldoze the area and plant pussy willows in place.

Have I adequately expressed my feelings?

You forgot to say burn the univesity to the ground, hunt down and hang all alumni over the age of 40, and sterilize all Auburn fans.

So NC,-- was this a post on a board/forum that your friend copied/pasted then e-mailed?

I may have lost track so what happened with the FBI investigation. I was hoping some of this money was intermingled with TARP money.  MD hit it with the FBI tapes. My understanding is that thousands of hours were recorded mostly Colonial Bank and Victoryland stuff. But through Freedom of Information Act, someone is surely pouring through them if the FBI no longer has something pending that involves them. Milton MacGregor, Pat Dye, and who knows who are on these. LOL  If no one IS going through those tapes that is a good sign, meaning there is still a possiblity of criminal action against the cast of characters.

Quote
The University of Tennessee has once again earned the attention of the NCAA. This time street agent Willie Lyles implicated the Tennessee Volunteers through an assistant coach on the staff of Lane Kiffin.

Ahh, Lane Kiffin the gift that keeps on giving.

According to Yahoo Sports, “Lyles told Yahoo! Sports what he explained the NCAA: that Garza set up Seastrunk’s June 2009 unofficial visit through him, that Lyles paid $1,446.80 for the initial airline tickets for Lache and his mother to fly from Waco, Texas to Knoxville, Tenn., and that Garza later wired the money to Lyles.”

Of course, this begs the question about other visits taken by Seastrunk. Perhaps like a visit to Auburn for Big Cat Weekend?
AdChoices

Big Cat Weekend was filled with recruiting violations (See more here). However, this was how ESPN’s Tom Luginbill described the event: “This was the first of what Auburn hopes to develop into a spring tradition under Chizik. Top prospects like RBs Lache Seastrunk and Marcus Lattimore, LBs Khairi Fortt and Ladarious Owens and WR Trovon Reed and CB Ryan Ayers, among many others, is an indication that not only are the Tigers on the right track in terms of personnel, but their recruiting tactics seem to be resonating among prospective student athletes. If a prospect makes his way from Texas or Connecticut for an unofficial visit to Auburn or any other program on his own dime, that is obviously a positive for a program trying to reinvent itself.” .....
