Title: Turnovers key when Florida plays Alabama Post by: pmull on September 28, 2011, 08:19:56 AM Both teams enter the meeting with impressive defensive numbers. Alabama leads the SEC in scoring defense (8.0 points per outing), while Florida is No. 2 (9.0). The Tide lead the league in total defense (184 yards allowed per contest). The Gators are No. 2. But here’s the surprising statistic, Florida is only seventh in turnover margin (seven fumbles or interceptions gained, the same number lost) and Alabama is tied for ninth (six gained, seven lost).

Here's hoping that Bama's secondary gets a few picks!
Title: Re: Turnovers key when Florida play Alabama Post by: BAMAWV on September 28, 2011, 09:29:50 AM Lets don't get panicky. :eyeroll: We've turned it over 7 times. 5 of which were the price you pay for breaking in 2 QBs over 4 games. We also have about 20 "almosts" in the plus side of turnovers. If I were UF, I'd be wondering what my team will do when a REAL defense comes after them.
I'd rather have a road win over #18 PSU and home win over #12 Arky, than a road win over Kentucky and a home win over Tennessee at Melanie Griffin Stadium, both opponents unranked. I'd rather be coming off our Arkansas win than their easy win at UK. AJ has a coming out party Saturday, loosening up the "D" for Richardson and Lacey. If they don't catch the Tide looking ahead to Vandy (lol) then watch out. BAMA 34-10. It was okay for him to overthrow them against Arky; under throws are bad, very bad (Iraqi accent). That is all.
