Title: Alabama can Devour Gators on Saturday
Post by: pmull on September 28, 2011, 02:05:53 PM
Will Muschamp’s new-look Gators are unbeaten after four games but now it’s time for the big test. Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide are rolling into The Swamp and they won’t be looking to make friends. Al Dannity breaks down the first huge SEC game of the year.

These guys are really scary
I’ve raved plenty about the LSU Tigers this year but if there’s one team in College Football with the potential to surpass them it’s the Tide. Alabama’s defense is other-worldly. Last season we saw the rough cut. This was a team blessed with physical gifts but lacking the experience of working as a unit. College Football betting fans had better get ready for something big this Saturday night. The Crimson Tide possess the most flat-out frightening defense in the nation. Throw in Trent Richardson at running back, and you’ve got a recipe for pain. I haven’t even mentioned their special teams yet.

The verdict
Well this might not be pretty. Florida’s defense should be able to withstand the Tide for much of the first half but all they will be doing is delaying the inevitable. Bama simply won’t cave against Florida’s ground game and that’s going to remove any hope of an upset. In a year where we could, yet again, be looking at multiple unbeaten teams it’s imperative that Alabama finishes the season with a perfect slate. I like Nick Saban’s team to dominate and be clearly on top by the break, before finishing off the Gators in the third quarter.
