The video is not what I expected.  It looks like EL is having a tough time with the injury.  Ugh.   :(

Turf toe is a very nagging injury. Players used to get it a lot on artificial turf. I've never seen a player recover quickly from it. EL will be playing through the pain. for a while.

It's pain at the base of the big toe at the ball of the foot. It's usually caused by jamming it into the turf.

I did not see him limping badly. Maybe favoring it slightly as to not aggrevate it. CNS is setting UF up. SHHHHH!

What is turf toe any way?

This is the injury that hampered Johnny Musso so much his senior year but he played. Did you ever jam your finger playing basketball, feels about the same.

I've had that before, I just didn't realize that is what you called it.

It's actually a tendon issue but feels like a jammed finger. It's an inflammation in the tendons of the tor caused by strething them to an extreme, that's why it takes so long to heal.

We need a "Goostree" to design him a special shoe.  I was there in 1971 when Goos' shoe for Musso was the key to beating the Boogs (31-7).

I remember when Shuan Alexander was out for the Seahawks with turf toe.  I was surprised a toe injury would keep him out of the game.

Can you imagine BAMFTR and EL wearing tear away jerseys!
