Title: "Dee Hart doing 'extremely well in his rehab,' but still a 'longshot' for 2011"

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama - Dee Hart runs during media viewing periods at Alabama football practice, which appears to be ahead of schedule.

Hart is recovering from offseason surgery.

In early August, Alabama coach Nick Saban said it would be October until Hart might be able to run.

Not only has Hart been spotted jogging, but sprinting across a football field.

So when asked Wednesday about one of his prized signees from the Crimson Tide's 2011 signing class, Saban's comments were not surprising.

"Dee Hart is doing extremely well in his rehab," Saban said. "He actually is running and doing things, but he's still probably a good month away from being able to do all the things he needs to do to be able to come back and play football.

"It'd be a real longshot if that guy could come back and contribute at all this year."

No need to rush him. I wonder if it'll take him a year of playing to get to 100% like Donta.

Yes, don't waste a year of eligibility for a few games at the end of the season.
