He won every play that I watched. Title: Re: , freshman in the game Post by: 2Stater on January 09, 2018, 06:16:48 AM The future is bright. Every one of them made major contributions last night.

I believe I read there were 5 on the OT TD play and it was freshmen to freshmen on the TD in OT to win the game :dunno: Title: Re: , freshman in the game Post by: McBaman on January 10, 2018, 10:02:13 AM The myth that freshmen don't play at Bama has been debunked. This has got to be good for recruiting.

Title: Re: , freshman in the game Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on January 11, 2018, 10:00:38 AM anybody got any idea how many freshmen saw playing time tonight Back to the original question, I read somewhere that there were 12 true freshmen who saw action in the game. That number seems high to me, and RollTide.com hasn't put out a game book with a participation report for the playoff games like they do for regular season games, so I can't verify it. The ones I'd count based on previous games and observation: Offense: Tua Najee Leatherwood Ruggs III Smith Jeudy Major Tennison Special Teams: Brian Robinson Daniel Wright VanDarius Cowen That's 10, which is a huge number of true freshmen to be trusted in such a game. Also, if not for injury, Dylan Moses and LaBryan Ray would have surely gotten on the field as well.
