If they're as good as 2017's 4-stars Devonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, and JC Isaiah Buggs, then #+ . Title: Re: "Meet Alabama's 2018 signing class" Post by: N.AL-Tider on February 08, 2018, 06:31:58 AM We got some big LB's this year. 6'-4 and 6'-5. I hope those guys are as mean as they are ugly so they can tear up some opposing RB's and QB's... I am a bit concerned about one of our WR's this year though. Jalen Waddle, 5'-10" tall and only 175 pounds. He is going to be a bit under-sized for a WR so let's hope he has Julio Jones' hands and David Palmer's speed and play-making abilities... Also, I like that we are getting some DB's that are above 6' tall. They should be able to match up against the typically taller WR's better as long as they can keep up pace with them. Oh, and hopefully one of our new coaches can/will teach them to play the ball by turning their head when the ball is in the air... :wall:

I was a 6'3" WR, the tallest on our team. But I ran like a LORIS. :lol2: Title: Re: "Meet Alabama's 2018 signing class" Post by: ricky023 on February 08, 2018, 09:01:15 AM One thing we know is CSC can put muscle on them and they will build. RTR!
Title: Re: "Meet Alabama's 2018 signing class" Post by: bamaphil on February 08, 2018, 09:27:17 AM Last year's class may have been the best ever recruiting class. This year, Saban's worst class at Bama (yet one 99% of schools would be thrilled to have). Is this a one-year blip, or is Georgia going to win the battles moving forward as they did this year now that Smart is the superstar young coach?

All three are committed to Georgia. Saban addressed WRs in his presser, comparing them to a basketball team, with a need for diversity of talents, speed and size. He said Waddle was fast, made very quick cuts, and would be a challenge to cover.Title: Re: "Meet Alabama's 2018 signing class" Post by: Chechem on February 08, 2018, 01:31:15 PM I am a bit concerned about one of our WR's this year though. Picture a short crossing route, in which the QB needs to throw low. A tall WR can be a detriment in such patterns. :stars: Title: Re: "Meet Alabama's 2018 signing class" Post by: ricky023 on February 08, 2018, 04:44:11 PM I think CNS and staff filled positions this year rather than being after just the bunch of talent. RTR!
