We almost gave away the natty last year due to inconsistency. Considering PapaNasty didn't miss a FG of 40 yards or less during the entire regular season, I'm not sure consistency was the problem as much as nerves. Also, he made the first FG and had to rekick due to a false start. I can't tell you how many times I've heard an Alabama fan say, "Just give me a kicker that is a sure thing from 40 yards and in." Oh, and he also made a higher percentage of his attempts than all-world booger eater Daniel Carlson last season.
