I am anxious to see Bama's freshmen players, especially 6 foot pitcher Leslie Jury form Anderson, S.C. Title: Re: Fall Brawl starts Tomorrow Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on September 30, 2011, 02:52:43 PM Fall softball? Is this something new?
Title: Re: Fall Brawl starts Tomorrow Post by: Leewillie on September 30, 2011, 03:08:14 PM It's been going on for several years. It's kind of like Spring football, but you get to play other teams. There are quite a few NCAA restrictions, like so many days to get in so many practices and can only play 8 games and cannot miss any academic class to travel. That's why it is mostly on weekends. I believe there may even be a restriction on overnight travel.
I Know Lipscomb played UT a couple of years ago and had to wait until 3:00 PM to leave to go to Knoxville, then had to return home on the bus right after the game.
