While Bama is in 1st place in the SECw is really not a surprise, LSU being in 2nd place is somewhat as Awbren and aTm were projected to be competitive for the SECw crown.  The SEC standings after 4 games is as follows.

In the east I think pretty much everyone thought UGA would be the leader of the pack and they are so far.  Even though they really haven't played any really tough teams they look to be pretty good.  The big surprise to me is that UK is currently the runner-up over in the east.  Not sure anyone saw that coming.  Of course, there is still 9 weeks for UK to go all Kentucky and drop closer to their usual position near the bottom of the division.

KY went 3-0 last year, then fell apart.

I don't see that happening this year.  They look solid.  Might even give Georgia a game.

I was surprised how well KY played last night.  I watched much of the second half; they gashed MSU.  Their O-line is good, especially when the announcers keep telling that MSU has "the best D-line in college football".

They could beat UGA.  But only if it's played in KY; IT IS!

I have been saying for the last four weeks that I'm not sold on Bama being as good as they look because they haven't played anyone yet that is really all that good.  aTm is a pretty good team so I'm starting to buy into Bama's hype, starting.  UGA hasn't played any real good teams either and though they have beaten everyone so far, they really haven't been dominating the way I expected.  UK might just pull out their first ever SECe crown.  I hope so...

Kentucky plays USCe, Aggies, Vandy, Mizzou, then Georgia.  I don't see them making it through that without dropping a game or two.  Aggies and MO games are on the road. 

Still, Georgia doesn't look as good this year as last year, and it could be a good game.

After seeing how well A&M can play, I'm eager to see them against LSU, Boogs, and MSU.  They have LSU in College Station, but on the road against the others.

A&M is better than expected this year.

Troof! We all wondered whether A&M was that good or Clemson just not so good. I think that question got answered yesterday. A&M is the real deal.

Aggies are definitely improved.  LSU and boog games should be interesting.

The Aggies play on the road against MSU, then the next week on the road at the Boogs.  Tough schedule!

I have to agree with Chechem. I actually think if Mond stays healthy(but running so much) TA&M won't lose another SEC game. Georgia as I have been telling my friends is not as good as last year. You can never live on last year. RTR!

Florida is looking to be pretty decent even though their fanbase still doesn't think so... That should be a fun one to watch.  I think UF will win that one though...

I'm not so sure.  MSU at home will be tough to beat.

I hate the cowbells; just stupid.  But they're horribly loud, and give MSU an advantage.

I've been to games in Starkville and sat next to cowbell ringers.  As deaf as I am, still they're deafening!

Years ago, I went to a game in Starkville with my brother.  He bought a cowbell before the game, only he rang it opposite what the MSU fans would do, and whenever Bama made a good play. 

I'll remember that game for two things.  My brother ringing the cowbell, and singing "It's great, to be, from Alabama" with the rest of the Bama fans as we walked out of the stadium.

I saw the game later on replay.  Every time MSU has the football, and every time Bama makes a good play, if you listen close enough, you can hear that one lone cowbell.

That is awesome.

Only problem is buying one of their bells.  I'd rather take an air horn that's louder than the dammn bells.

I was at a HS game the other day.  One of the fans had an air horn.  LOUD!

Well if we score enough and hold them out of the endzone then the cowbells won't be singing. RTR!
