Title: Question for your thoughts and ideas. Post by: N.AL-Tider on October 24, 2018, 08:38:07 PM So Mrs. Nalt and I talked this afternoon and she told me about an incident that happened at school today. Runt, our 14 y/o son (he is bi-racial but looks black) has been wearing a military style jacket to school lately and there is a science teacher that he likes that has been giving him a military salute. This morning this teacher told Runt to go to another teacher and give him a Nazi salute. This second teacher told Runt not to do that and why. Mrs. Nalt is really angry and planning on talking with this teacher and the principle. I personally want to take the teacher out into the woods and give him a physics lesson... Of course, I am only 5000+ miles from home so that ain't possible. What are your thoughts and how would you handle this situation?

Give him the date, teacher names, etc. Sounds like an attempt at stupid humor, using the kid as part of the "joke." I wonder if the other teacher was Jewish. Like I said, maybe sick humor.

Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on October 25, 2018, 08:23:00 AM I'm probably the least qualified to give an opinion having no children, but it doesn't sound like a big deal to me. It would only have bothered me if Runt had gotten into trouble over it. The two teachers just sound like buddies messing around with each other. Maybe Runt shouldn't have been "used" as the go between, but nothing adverse happened, and he even learned something.
