Title: Vandy game to be carried by ESPNU Post by: pmull on October 02, 2011, 06:01:43 PM The vandy game will be televised by ESPNU. Are ESPNU games broadcast in HD? Last year the Georgia State game was on ESPNU and the coverage was awful. ESPNU basketball games are normally not HD. Who will the announcers be?

But when I turned it on it was on a volleyball game that is running over. It looks like it is 720p though according to my TV.

In that case, I would guess that they can broadcast in HD but not all of their camera groups that they send on location are HD. Since we are in the primetime slot maybe we will get the HD cameras. I am concerned the games they carry live are not HD crews. The games replayed that was originally on ESPN or ESPN2 are HD. ESPNU carried a lot of good basketball games last year. None of the live basketball games were HD. I have not watched a football game on ESPNU this year so maybe they have upgraded to HD by now. |
