Saturday started early this week.  Two of our pick-'em games were last night:

Northern Illinois came back from 29-10 to win.
Northern Illinois 30 - Buffalo 29

Washington controlled the game with their defense and beat Utah:
Washington 10-3.

Buffalo blew a 3 TD lead.  >:(

I was screaming at the TV when their coach tried to run out the clock with 5 min left and a 5-pt lead.

I also picked Buffalo.  My own fault -- I didn't look at 2's pick.   ;)


All you need to know about the PAC12 Championship:  Washington's only TD, and the only TD in the game, came in a crazy pick-6. This video at the 1 minute mark:

But it's wiped off, and Okla is at the goalline.

Texas gets penalty on their O-line jumping off early, no first down, and a shank punt.

Yeah, Ricky, there's no pass rush most plays.  KM just stands and waits 4-5 secs.

TX gets a long TD pas, but WR drops it.  Refs calls it a TD (missed the drop).

But TX has penalty on the O-line shift and the WR pushoff.  Just crappy play.

First play: Okie for 25 yards on a wide-open receiver.  WIDE OPEN!

TX backs off, and Okie catches a swing pass and run for 20 yards.   :facepalm:

After Tx recovers an Ok fumble near their own goal, Ehlinger gets nailed in the end zone for a safety. 32-27 Ok with 7 minutes left.

Ok receiver makes a nice one handed catch for a TD. They lead 39-27 with 2 minutes left in the game. That should pretty much eliminate tOSU and Urban's career.

Texas was driving but Ok intercepts at their own 1 to seal the deal, 39-27.

Well I know next year how to pick and win. DO NOT pick. RTR!

Did not expect these results:

Fresno State beats Boise State.  A team from sunny California wins in the snow on the blue turf, a week after losing to BS by 7.

UAB beats MTSU.  Another home team loses.  MTSU beat UAB by 24 points a week earlier too. 

I guess this goes to show that it is hard to beat a team twice.  (Georgia anyone?)

Congrats to UAB, 2 years after restarting football, winning Conference USA, first 10 win season in school history!   #+
