Auburn up 35-7 on Purdue.

Many of the "experts" took the points and Purdue.  But come'on, really?  It's still Purdue.

Some thought Purdue would be fully motivated and Auburn not so much.  But it is Stidham's last game to impress the scouts, Auburn is still embarrassed about losing to UCF, and Gus is fighting to keep his job.

And it's Purdue.   ;D

This is needed win for the barn over a 7 loss team from a weak Big 10 school. Remember it is Purdue.

I picked the barn. They have the better players.

I picked Purdue since Gus was 1-4 in bowl games and the offense chaotic and lethargic all year. Purdue had a decent passing attack, but I forgot they had a Big Ten defense. To hear the Auburn announcers talk, they think they are ready to take on the Patriots now.

Next game is Syracuse/W. Virginia, but WVU QB Will Grier not playing. I picked Syracuse before Grier announced he was not playing.

Washington State up early, 7-0 against Iowa State.

21-17 Washington State 10:15 in 3rd qtr. Good game, but Iowa State needs to learn how to tackle. Two of their players ejected for targeting and their head coach, Matt Campbell, flagged for acting out after 2nd player ejected. One more penalty on him and he's gone, too.

I thought it was a nice crowd too. Then I noticed both upper decks were closed and completely empty.

Game was still a bummer for me.  I had Iowa State up till 15 minutes before kickoff, when I decided to take ONE chance on a PAC12 team -- Wash State is probably that conference's best team (should have made conference championship game except for heavy snow v Washington).
