Title: PICKEM Post by: Catch Prothro on August 18, 2019, 08:55:40 PM It's that time of year. Are we starting with the Aug. 24th weekend games -- which includes Miami v Florida? It is possible to split into two pickems over the first two weeks.
Thursday 29th has UCLA v Cincy, Georgia Tech v. Clemson, and Utah v BYU. Friday 30th has Wisconsin v S. Florida, Tulsa v Mich State, Colorado State v Colorado, and Oky State v Oregon State Sat. 30th has a ton of games Sunday 31st is Houston v Oklahoma Monda 1st is Notre Dame v Louisville. UNC was 31st in 2019 recruiting with three 4 star recruits & eleven 3 stars. Miami has an untested new coach in Manny Diaz at Miami who has the 36th ranked recruiting class with seven 4 stars & seven 3 stars. Mark Richt’s last class in 2018 had two 5 stars, fourteen 4 stars, & was ranked 6th in recruiting by Rivals. Finally, FSU is probably in trouble with coach Taggart (52-57 coaching record overall). In his 2nd year of recruiting at FSU he finished 18th with one 5 star, nine 4 stars and eleven 3 stars. Not the way to build a championship football team. It will be interesting to see how things go for Diaz, M. Brown, & Taggart.
