OK, so I've had Hulu a week, but today is the first day it is really getting put through the paces, trying to watch several games at once. The good: for around $50/month, I get all the channels I want. I get ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, SECN, ACCN, Big10 Network, FSN1, FSN2, Fox Sports South, Fox Sports SE, CBSSN, NBCSN, the Olympic Channel, Golf Channel. I only don't get the PAC12 network, if that even still exists? (Plus I get the usual non-sports channels). There is just enough delay with broadcast that you might be able to tune the radio to Eli Gold and listen to him during the game. (I have not tested this). The bad: Hulu's channel and programming listings are non-traditional. There really isn't an easy way to view channels and upcoming shows that I've found on my TV -- works better on your computer. So you don't get the DTV type channel listing and ability to scroll into the future and plan your viewing/recording. Also, and this might be a deal breaker, when you change to another game on Hulu (channel surfing), it often takes you to the start of the game, instead of live coverage. This does not permit checking on another game during commercial breaks. I'm not sure at this point if I am going about this the right way -- Hulu offers very little guidance, and the way they list channels and programs is non-traditional. It could be if I click on a game in the "live programming" instead of the "college football games" directory, it might take me to live coverage. But I've been too busy watching football to systematically test the system. And worst of all, Hulu does not allow you to fast forward through commercials. You have to exit the game you are watching then click on it again to fast forward. This is the work around I've discovered -- not part of any Hulu reveal. Watching more than one game on one TV becomes challenging given Hulu's limitations. But Hulu does allow you to watch several games at the same time using different screens/TVs, so this morning I was able to watch one game on my big screen TV, a second game on a smaller TV, and a third game on my laptop. Georgia should cover the 21 points at Vandy, even at opening weekend, unless Vandy is vastly improved and Georgia sleep walks. I have no idea about Oregon v Barn. I hate to pick the Barn, but I hate even more to pick the PAC12. My gut says take the points and Oregon. My head says never pick the PAC12. As I've been eating all day, I have to listen to my head, not gut. Still can't trust or root for the Barn, but I think they cover. Mizzou should destroy Wyoming. Mizzou has Clemson QB transfer. Wyoming lost its QB to the NFL. Virginia v. Pitt? Really don't care since it didn't make the pickem. But should be a close game. I got UVA, for no reason other than that's my pick.
