LSU maintained its perch atop the rankings after a breezy win over Kentucky, though Alabama and Oklahoma each received a smattering of support for the top spot.

The last time Kentucky and LSU played, the Wildcats upset a top-ranked Tigers team. A repeat of that 2007 matchup (the year LSU won the national title) was not in the cards, as the Tigers cruised to a 35-7 win.

"Cruised to a 35-7 win"?  I watched the game.  LSU struggled, played without emotion, and stumbled to the win.  Kentucky didn't show up.

"Hungover" from losing to Florida.

I've seen some vulnerabilities in LSU.  They also gave up a lot of yardage to West Virginia.  Also, that early MSU victory doesn't look so impressive now that we know that MSU was just way over hyped.  I think we are the better team at the moment.  We will see soon enough though.
