This is our first SEC game and starts a very tough 4 game stretch of UF, Miss. State, UK, then Auburn. LSU looked very good against Tennessee today. SEC looks to be extra good this year.

Tide leads SEC in scoring with 82.8 a game, Florida is 10th. Tide is 2nd in 3 point percentage at 36.8%. Tide 3rd in rebounding, UF 5th. Tide 6th in FT%, UF 8th. Tide first in allowing most turnovers, UF last in allowing turnovers.

Lewis gets ball and just stands there and Oats has to call last timeout. Strange “play” by Lewis. Petty makes lollipop in-bounds pass that is stolen by UF for lay-up. Very strange throw in play, 3 guys just stood there, WTH is that?!!

UF player shoots, gets own rebound shoots and scores and fouled. Smallest guy out there. 86-83 UF. We can not hit a shot!! Jones scores 86-85 UF. Layup for UF 88-85 UF. Petty hits 3, 88 all. 89-88 UF. Bama steals ball but Lewis obviously fouled but no call. 89-88 UF with 2 FT coming up. UF hits 1/2 FT. 90-88 UF. Jones fouled but he’s a LOUST FT shooter. He hits first and misses 2nd (of course). 90-89 UF 54.9 seconds left.

Petty hits 3, 92 all, 10.8 seconds left. 92-92 OT #2.

UF 96-92, Tide scores 96-94 UF. We need someone to step up. Petty scores 96 all. Petty rebounds missed UF shot. Again, small UF guard getting in rebound position. 98-98, UF with ball. UF gets ANOTHER rebound. Jones fouls out. 3 Alabama big men fouled out, now. Awful shot by Lewis which also gets blocked. Ugly, ugly play by Tide last 1 minute or so. UF 101-98. Bolden throws up brick and UF rebounds. 102-98 UF. Tide 23/34 FT, 67.8%. Unacceptable.

BAD, BAD LOSS. PETTY WITH HIS LOLLIPOP INBOUND PASS WHEN WE HAD LEAD WITH 25 SECONDS COST US THE GAME. WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR PLAYERS? REESE, SHACKLEFORD, AND BOLDEN DISAPPEARED IN THE 2ND HALF.

I didn't want to jinx us, but I wondered/hoped our momentum from the first half would carry over into the second half.  Our team seems to get a lead then run out of steam in the few games I've been able to watch.

Team should have won but didn't quite finish the game.  FT shooting was the difference.

It's hard to travel and play at another good team's court in the SEC.  It seemed like Florida got a bit of home court advantage.

Still, I am encouraged with the team's play, their fight. It's pretty impressive in Oats' first year how this team has come together, how much better they have gotten since the start of the basketball season.

I wonder if the mystic of football and not basketball like KY. just has these players where they are not as intense. JMPO! RTR!

Didn't get to watch until later.  Bama let this one get away.  A couple of things, missed layup/close shots and free throws.  Eleven missed free throws were the main reason for the difference.  Too me Bama is still learning to win.
