I know he only stayed 2 years, but that job was tainted at the time. Regardless of who Bama hired, he was going to have an incredibly tough act to follow. I hope he can develop QBs. That may be, but Saban has been in the business for a long time. Long enough to be familiar with most of the coaches out there with any credibility. No doubt in my mind CNS has done his own research. Part of that research is talking to people who have worked with him before. You do realize the last time O'Brien was an OC was on Belichick's staff?
